Chemical Week Webcast Series: Talent Managment: How to Find and Keep the Best Staff

Watch this FREE Webinar On Demand.

As the talent pool for chemical industry workers shrinks how can you find the best staff and really be sure that you have the best systems in place to retain them? And how can you be sure you are generating the most value from your staff? Gain a perspective on these and other pressing human resource issues on Tuesday 18 November by attending Chemweek’s webcast.

Join Chemweek Executive Editor Alex Scott, Talent Management expert Shannon Freezer-Flory, from DuPont - one of the most progressive companies when it comes to managing talent in the chemicals sector - along with Jeff Summer, from PwC and Fran Wesley from SAP as they share their knowledge in the field of human resource management.

Finding and keeping talented staff in chemical companies is predicted to become increasingly difficult not only in the U.S. but across Europe and other world regions. Some industry experts say we are already at the start of a talent pool crisis in the global chemicals industry borne out of a drop in interest in science careers among students.

Asia is the only region where strong growth in science graduates is taking place. “By 2010, if the current trends continue, more than 90% of all scientists and engineers in the world will be living in Asia,” says Tapping America’s Potential (TAP; Washington) an education-focused coalition of 16 business organizations.
On this Webcast you can expect to:

  • Learn about best practice steps for identifying and retaining the best chemical industry employees.
  • Get a view of how DuPont manages its talent and lessons it has learned.
  • Learn about best practice steps to follow when human resources issues emerge.
  • Gain a perspective on other chemical firms’ approaches to talent management.

An interactive Q&A session between audience and speakers will follow the three presentations.
