Sustainability :: Water DSM Secures Contract to Develop Water-Decontaminating Microbes (update)4:52 AM MST | January 14, 2011 | Alex Scott DSM BioSolutions, DSM’s microbial fermentation contract manufacturing business, has disclosed that it has secured a contract with BiAqua (Badhoevedorp, the Netherlands) to develop microbes for decontaminating water. BiAqua is an innovator of bio-based solutions for serious water contamination issues. Financial terms were not disclosed. The agreement includes DSM’s development of microbial strains, process development and the production of BiAqua Ferritin, a biotechnology for addressing bio-fouling and arsenic contamination in water. ...
