Sustainability :: Statistics and Data January CAB up for sixth consecutive month, grows 3% year-on-year11:17 AM MST | January 22, 2013 | Lindsay Frost ACC's January 2013 chemical activity barometer (CAB) posted a 0.4% gain over December 2012 on a 3-month moving average (3MMA) basis. This is the sixth consecutive month-to-month gain in the CAB, and year-on-year, the CAB increased 2.8%. Growth in the housing market contributed to the gain, says Kevin Swift, chief economist at ACC. “Recent data from the Commerce Department is bearing out what the CAB has been indicating for many months now—that an increasingly solid housing market continues to show signs of momentum and a return to...
