ACC's US chemical production index rises for second consecutive month

ACC's US Chemical Production Regional Index posted a 0.7% increase in January, following a revised 0.9% gain in December. Production rose in all major producing regions for a second consecutive month. To smooth month-to-month fluctuations, the U. CPRI is measured using a three-month moving average (3MMA), ACC says. Compared to January 2012, chemical production in all regions was up 1.2% year-over-year, and was ahead in all regions with the exception of the Mid-Atlantic and West Coast regions.
