Sustainability :: Statistics and Data Survey Says: Consumers Willing to Pay More for 'Green' Products9:56 AM MDT | April 14, 2008 | Michelle Bryner A survey sponsored by DuPont and Mohawk Industries (Calhoun, GA) finds that U.S. consumers are willing to pay on average about 8% more for products made from renewable resources. Market Tools, which conducted the survey, queried 1,000 U.S. homeowners to identify consumers' stance on environmental responsibility. The survey found that about seven out of 10 U.S. consumers, or 65%, are willing to pay more for products made with renewable resources.
