Sustainability :: Green Innovation of the Month Novozymes Partners Danish Biorefinery Project3:37 AM MDT | April 26, 2012 | Alex Scott Novozymes has joined the Maabjerg Energy Concept, a consortium which plans to build a biorefinery for generating biogas, advanced bioethanol, electricity and heat in western Denmark near Holstebro. The plant is set to be the world’s first commercial scale biorefinery producing bioethanol from straw. Startup of the facility is scheduled to take place in 2016. Novozymes takes a place on the Maabjerg Energy Concept’s board. Other members of the consortium are national energy giant DONG Energy ([]) and local utility companies Vestforsyning, Struer...
