Nanotech Concrete Paves Way for Greener Future

The Tecnalia Construction Unit (TCU: Madrid), says it has developed a process for manufacturing cement that, when compared with standard cement, cuts CO2 emissions to the atmosphere by 100%.   Instead of using the conventional route for making concrete, which involves burning limestone, Tecnalia uses solid waste from thermal power stations combined with an undisclosed nanomaterial.   The development of the new process has been undertaken jointly by TCU and The Spanish National Research Council (CSIC: Madrid), the largest public institution dedicated to...
