Sustainability :: Green Innovation of the Month Linde to Pilot Process for Making Hydrogen from Glycerine8:59 AM MDT | April 22, 2009 | Alex Scott Linde says it will start building a demonstration plant from the middle of this year at Leuna, Germany that will produce hydrogen from glycerine. The plant is due to come on stream in mid-2010. Glycerine is a byproduct from the production of biodiesel and is anticipated to be in plentiful supply as biodiesel production rises. “Further processing of glycerine therefore makes good sense,” the company says.
