Sustainability :: Green Innovation of the Month Industrial Process for Diborane and Diazomethane5:11 AM MDT | June 3, 2008 | Alex Scott Fine chemicals firm Novasep (Pompey, France) says it has developed a novel low cost process for the low risk, industrial-scale production of the highly reactive materials diborane and diazomethane, which are used in active pharmaceutical ingredients (API). The new process is safer and enables a significant reduction of raw materials including solvents, compared with standard technology, the company says. Diborane and diazomethane are highly explosive.
