Cargill Vows 100% Sustainable Palm Oil by 2020

Cargill says all the palm oil products it sells to Australia, Canada, Europe, New Zealand, and the U.S. will be certified by the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO) by 2015. RSPO guidelines, developed in 2004 in response to deforestation concerns stemming from palm oil plantations, consider legal, economic, environmental, and social factors.
