Sustainability :: Biofuels & Raw Materials Gevo to Locate Asian Biobased Isobutanol Unit in Malaysia7:52 AM MDT | July 11, 2012 Gevo (Englewood, CO) has signed a collaboration agreement with representatives from the Malaysian government’s East Coast Economic Region Development Council (ECERDC), the Malaysian Biotechnology Corp. (BiotechCorp; Kuala Lumpur), and the state government of Terengganu, Malaysia, to site a cellulosic biomass isobutanol manufacturing facility in Malaysia. Gevo says that, after one year of ongoing development work in Malaysia, it is partnering along the supply chain to provide biobased isobutanol at a cost-competitive price.
