EPA issues proposed renewable fuel standards for 2014

EPA’s 2014 Renewable Fuel Standard (RFS) proposed lowering the amount of biofuels refiners are mandated to blend into fuels for the first time in the federal program’s history. The agency says increased biofuels production but decline in overall fuel consumption has saturated the nation’s fuel supply with ethanol.
