Sustainability Dutch companies establish new European thermoplastics automotive composites consortium8:52 AM MDT | October 9, 2012 | Sotirios Frantzanas A consortium of Dutch businesses, including Dutch Thermoplastic Components, Kok & Van Engelen, NLR National Aerospace Laboratory of the Netherlands and TenCate Advanced Composites, have formed the European Thermoplastic Automotive Composites consortium (eTAC), an effort to promote the use of fiber-reinforced thermoplastic composites in the automotive sector. The new eTAC partnership takes effect this month. The eTAC consortium has built up an impressive track record in the aviation industry in the past few decades, participants say. But knowledge...
