Chemtex to Build Cellulosic Ethanol Facility in North Carolina

Gruppo Mossi & Ghisolfi subsidiary Chemtex says it has received a conditional $99-million loan guarantee from the USDA to support the construction of a cellulosic ethanol facility. The plant is expected to be located in Sampson County, NC, and produce 20 million gallons per year. Construction is targeted to begin in late 2012, with the plant slated to come online in 2014.
