AkzoNobel to Start Building Large-scale Paints Plant in the U.K.

AkzoNobel says it will break ground on a previously announced £100 million ($157 million) decorative paints manufacturing facility at Ashington, U.K. in June or July of this year after gaining planning permission for the facility this week from local officials. The planned facility is set to treble the firm’s current manufacturing capacity for decorative paints in northeastern England.
