Sustainability BASF to Invest Upward of $133 Million in Battery Technology, Create Global Business Unit2:57 AM MST | November 25, 2011 | Alex Scott BASF says it will invest upward of €100 million ($133 million) in battery technology for vehicles during the next five years, including investment in R&D and the production of battery materials. As part of its plan to take advantage of a “significant growth opportunity,” the company says also that it will introduce a new Battery Materials global business unit from January 1, 2012.
