Genencor and Goodyear to Spend More than $50 Million Codeveloping Bio-isoprene Process

Danisco’s enzymes technology division Genencor and tire and rubber producer Goodyear today disclosed that they will collaborate on a major project to develop a process for manufacturing isoprene from renewable raw materials. Isoprene, a key ingredient in tires, currently is only produced from crude oil.
