Services :: Transportation STB Proposes Slashing Filing Fees to $3508:58 AM MST | February 16, 2011 | Kara Sissell The U.S. Surface Transportation Board (STB) has proposed a rule for reducing the fee charged to rail shippers filing rate or service complaints, to $350/filing. The fee for some complaints is currently as high as $20,600. However, STB says it continues to recommend that shippers first avail themselves of the agency’s free informal mediation service, the Rail Customer and Public Assistance Program.
