Services :: Transportation Rail Traffic Rises 20.8%1:39 PM MDT | March 29, 2010 | Vincent Valk Chemicals sector rail traffic in North America rose 20.8%, to 45,251 cars, for the week ended March 20, the Association of American Railroads (AAR) says. U.S. traffic was up 14.4%, to 28,818 cars. Canadian traffic rose 36.7%, to 15,383 cars, while Mexican traffic was up 4.5%, to 1,050 cars. Traffic in the content as a whole rose slightly from the prior week's totals, though it fell in the U.S. Overall freight rail traffic in North America rose 7.7% on the week, to 374,582 cars.
