FMCSA Issues Final Hours of Service Rule

The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA; Washington) has issued a final hours of service (HOS) rule that essentially restores its controversial 2005 HOS regulation which sets the amount of time a driver can be on the road without taking a break. The rule becomes effective January 19, 2009.
