Services :: Transportation Chemicals Sector Rail Traffic Rises 9.8%11:02 AM MDT | September 10, 2010 | Vincent Valk Chemicals sector rail traffic in North America rose 9.8% year-on-year last week, to 46,906 cars, the Association of American Railroads (AAR; Washington) reported. U.S. traffic was up 7.7%, to 31,131 cars. Canadian traffic rose 14.9%, to 14,672 cars, while Mexican traffic rose 4.2%, to 1,103 cars. U.S. and Mexican traffic rose from the prior week's totals, while Canadian traffic fell slightly.
