Services :: Transportation Chemicals Sector Rail Traffic Rises 6.3%4:51 PM MST | February 9, 2012 | Vincent Valk Chemicals sector rail traffic in North America rose 6.3% year-on-year during the week ended February 4, to 43,530 cars, according to the Association of American Railroads (AAR; Washington). U.S. traffic was up 10%, to 31,775 cars. Canadian traffic fell 4.8%, to 10,553 cars, while Mexican traffic rose 20.3%, to 1,202 cars. Traffic rose from the prior week’s totals.
