Services :: Transportation Chemicals Sector Rail Traffic Rises 5.3%1:55 PM MDT | April 19, 2012 | Vincent Valk Chemicals sector rail traffic in North America rose 5.3% year-on-year during the week ended April 14, to 45,035 cars, according to the Association of American Railroads (AAR; Washington). U.S. traffic was up 3.9%, to 31,405 cars. Canadian traffic rose 9.2%, to 12,297 cars, while Mexican traffic was up 5.5%, to 1,333 cars. Traffic rose from the prior week’s totals.
