Services :: Transportation Chemicals Sector Rail Traffic Falls 3.1%6:02 AM MST | February 17, 2012 | Vincent Valk Chemicals sector rail traffic in North America fell 3.1% year-on-year during the week ended February 11, to 40,612 cars, according to the Association of American Railroads (AAR; Washington). U.S. traffic was flat, at 29,355 cars. Canadian traffic fell 10.9%, to 10,182 cars, while Mexican traffic fell 5%, to 1,075 cars. Traffic fell from the prior week’s totals.
