Services :: Transportation Chemical Rail Traffic Rises 10.9%2:36 PM MDT | July 1, 2010 | Vincent Valk Chemicals sector rail traffic in North America rose 10.9% year-on-year last week, to 43,466 cars, according to the Association of American Railroads (AAR; Washington). U.S. traffic was up 8.5%, to 28,548 cars. Canadian traffic rose 16.7%, to 13,560 cars, while Mexican traffic rose 6.8%, to 1,358 cars. Traffic on the content as a whole fell very slightly from the prior week's totals, though U.S. traffic rose.
