Services :: Transportation Chemical Rail Traffic Posts Another Rise1:27 PM MST | December 10, 2009 | Vincent Valk Chemicals sector rail traffic in North America rose 8.5% during the week ended December 5, to 43,275 cars, according to the Association of American Railroads (AAR). It was the fourth consecutive week that chemicals sector rail traffic posted a year-on-year gain. US. traffic rose 13.9%, to 29,415 cars, AAR says. Canadian traffic fell 1.5%, to 12,936 cars, while Mexican traffic posted a slight 0.9% gain, totaling 924 cars. Traffic rose from the prior week's totals, which included the Thanksgiving holiday in the U.S. Overall freight rail traffic declined last week...
