Canadian Pacific Rail Workers Strike

About 3,200 Canadian Pacific workers who maintain track and structures went on strike May 15, due largely to what their union says are failed talks over wages, benefits, safety, and other issues. CP says it has trained more than 1,300 employees to replace about 1,200 of its union workers who directly maintain track for CP, and that its trains will continue to operate with regular personnel.
