Services :: Transportation Bush Signs Rail Safety Bill12:26 PM MDT | October 24, 2008 | Chemical Week Editorial Staff President Bush has signed a rail safety bill into law that will allocate $1.6 billion for an enhanced rail safety program during the next five years. The bill mandates that positive train controls (PTCs) be implemented by year-end 2015 where intercity passenger railroads and commuter railroads operate and where toxic-by-inhalation (TIH) hazardous materials are transported.
