Vopak Forms JV to Build Chemicals Terminal in China

Vopak says it has established a 50-50 joint venture with the Tianjin Bohai Chemical Industry Group (Tianjin, China), to construct and operate a chemicals storage terminal in the Lingang Industry Park at Tianjin. The jv will start construction of the storage terminal for liquid chemicals with an initial storage capacity of 95,300 cu meters. The capacity can be expanded to 380,000 cu meters in the future, Vopak says. The terminal is expected to be commissioned in the third quarter of 2011.
