Services :: Storage Kuwait Delays Startup of Styrene Plant2:32 AM MDT | July 7, 2009 | Natasha Alperowicz The Kuwait Styrene Co. (TKSC), which forms part of Greater Equate, has delayed the startup of its ethylbenzene-styrene monomer complex at Shuaiba, Kuwait by an estimated 4-8 weeks. The 450,000 m.t./year styrene plant was due to begin commercial operations within the next few days. The delay is due to a "technical issue" with a storage tank, which is currently undergoing a complete technical assessment. The exact duration of the delay is currently unknown, TKSC says.
