Stolt-Nielsen says it has received a statement of objections from the European Commission “concerning alleged infringements of European competition rules regarding the maritime transport of bulk liquids on deep-sea routes in the period August 24, 1998 to April 8, 2002.” Odfjell says it received a similar statement. The commission confirms that it sent a statement of objections to “a number of undertakings regarding their alleged role in cartel arrangements for shipping liquids...
