Stolt and Odfjell Face Antitrust Charges in Europe

Stormy seas ahead: Leading chemical tanker firms are under scrutiny. Stolt-Nielsen says it has received a statement of objections from the European Commission “concerning alleged infringements of European competition rules regarding the maritime transport of bulk liquids on deep-sea routes in the period August 24, 1998 to April 8, 2002.” Odfjell says it received a similar statement.
