Rail Traffic Rises 22.5%

Chemicals sector rail traffic in North America rose 22.5% year-on-year last week, to 45,176 cars, according to the Association of American Railroads (AAR). U.S. traffic was up 19.3%, to 28,854 cars. Canadian traffic rose 31.2%, to 15,125 cars, while Mexican traffic rose 2%, to 1,197 cars. Traffic rose from the prior week's totals.
