Services :: Shipping Chemicals sector rail traffic falls 0.1%3:53 PM MST | February 7, 2013 | Vincent Valk Chemicals sector rail traffic in North America declined 0.1% year-on-year (YOY) during the week ended 2 February, to 43,465 cars, according to the Association of American Railroads (AAR; Washington). US traffic was down 2.1%, to 31,075 cars. Canadian traffic rose 3.8%, to 10,945 cars, while Mexican traffic increased 18%, to 1,445 cars. Traffic increased from the prior week’s totals.
