Chemicals Sector Rail Traffic Falls 8.8%

Chemicals sector rail traffic in North America fell 8.8% year-on-year during the week ended March 31, to 43,692 cars, according to the Association of American Railroads (AAR; Washington). U.S. traffic was down 5.3%, to 31,271 cars. Canadian traffic fell 18.5%, to 11,107 cars, while Mexican traffic rose 6.9%, to 1,314 cars.
