Chemical Rail Traffic Rises 16.1%

Chemicals sector rail traffic in North America rose 16.1% year-on-year last week, to 43,268 cars, according to the Association of American Railroads (AAR; Washington). U.S. traffic was up 13.1%, to 28,598 cars. Canadian traffic rose 24.2%, to 13,485 cars, while Mexican traffic rose 6.6%, to 1,185 cars.
