Chemicals Sector Rail Traffic Falls 6%

Chemicals sector rail traffic in North America fell 6% year-on-year during the week ended March 17, to 42,021 cars, according to the Association of American Railroads (AAR; Washington). U.S. traffic was down 2.8%, to 29,747 cars. Canadian traffic fell 14.1%, to 10,900 cars, while Mexican traffic was down 1.9%, to 1,374 cars.
