Kemira settles damage claim litigation related to hydrogen peroxide price-fixing case

Kemira says it has signed an agreement with Cartel Damage Claims (CDC; Brussels) to settle a lawsuit at Helsinki. The settlement concerns claims assigned to CDC, based on which CDC has claimed compensation for alleged damages related to a price-fixing case in the hydrogen peroxide (H2O2 ) business between 1994 and 2000, Kemira says. CDC has agreed to withdraw the damage claims, and Kemira has agreed to pay to CDC compensation of €18.5 million ($25.4 million) as well as compensate CDC for its legal costs, Kemira adds.
