Judge Dismisses Most of Residents’ Claims in DuPont PFOA Suit

A federal judge has dismissed most of the claims that residents living near DuPont’s Parkersburg, West Virginia site had filed against the firm seeking compensation for perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA) in the area water supply. The judge dismissed claims of nuisance, negligence, and trespass, but allowed the residents to pursue their claim seeking compensation for medical monitoring.
