Judge Approves LyondellBasell CFO Appointment

The judge in the LyondellBasell bankruptcy case has approved the appointment of Kent Potter as the company's new CFO, according to a court filing. Potter, who was first hired in July, was opposed by Dutch bank ABN Amro because of his role overseeing LyondellBasell's finances prior to the bankruptcy. ABN Amro also disapproved of Potter's ties to LyondellBasell shareholder Access Industries, and the terms of his employment, including a $500,000 signing bonus.
