DuPont Wins $920 Million in Kevlar Trade Secrets Case

This case is significant. Finally there is some blow back regarding the unscrupulous misuse of patented and intellectual property. It is important for the few untrustworthy Asian companies to take notice of this decision. The world should be free but not free to steal other companies hard earned IP and use it against them.

Hi TN, I support your sentiment, but I wished that you had not used the word "fact" or at least put it within quotes. I will say that PK has assumed as a given that the stealers are all Asian companies. This is his supposition and it is far from being a fact - quite the converse. Ironically, the countries that today are most aggressive in seeking to protect their "IP rights" are the very ones that not so long ago (in historical terms) that were stealing IP from others without qualms. Why, even today they are indulging in it, but it is suppressed because of their media power.

Having said all that, if indeed Kolon has stolen from Du Pont, that is wrong, and I do not support it.

While every one is convinced about the importance of IP and no one could support stealing. However putting a verdict against all the companies of specfic region only shows lack of sense and a false sense of pride.

you have to realize that in every nation there are good people and there are bad people. If some one does some thing bad from a region. Should the whole region be blammed for it.
Was BP a bad company who did not managed it process well? Should the whole british nation be blamed for it.? Should we tag it always bad. . What about Exxon oil spill? Should we say every american is unsafe? What about Enron scandal.?
