Calgon Carbon Ordered to Pay $12 Million for Breach of Contract

A district court in Pennsylvania has ruled against Calgon Carbon in a breach of contract case with ADA-ES (Littleton, CO), a coal emissions technology firm. The two companies signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) in 2007, under which Calgon Carbon would pay ADA-ES sales commissions in an effort to jointly market activated carbon.
