Services :: Legal CN Locks Out Workers on ‘Rotating’ Strike11:28 AM MDT | July 27, 2007 | Chemical Week Editorial Staff Canadian National (CN) locked out about 280 workers at various CN terminals last week in response to a rotating strike called by the United Transportation Union (UTU; Cleveland) on April 10. This is the latest action between the railroad and UTU, which represents 2,800 CN conductors and yard-service employees in Canada. UTU called a full strike on February 10, but UTU members returned to work on February 24 after a temporary settlement was reached.
