German cartel office orders Brenntag to dissolve distribution jv

The Bundeskartellamt (Bonn), Germany's federal cartel office, has prohibited Brenntag and CG Chemikalien (Laatzen, Germany) from continuing with their chemical distribution joint venture, CVH Chemie-Vertrieb (Hanover, Germany). All three entities are active in chemical distribution in the same regional markets in Germany, and have joint market shares of up to 70%, the Bundeskartellamt says.
