Sensient Technologies Earnings Rise 11%, Beat Estimates

Fourth-quarter earnings for Sensient Technologies rose 11% year-on-year, to $28.6 million, or 57 cts/share. Earnings narrowly beat analysts’ consensus of 56 cts/share, as reported by Thomson Reuters (New York). Revenues rose 0.3% year-on-year during the quarter, to $340.4 million.   The company’s colors segment saw fourth-quarter revenues fall 0.4% year-on-year, to $113.3 million. Segment operating income, however, rose 11%, to $20.3 million. Higher margins, especially in the North American business, drove the rise in operating income.  ...
