Rockwood Net Income Rises 20%, Adjusted Earnings Beat Estimates

Rockwood Holdings' first-quarter net income from continuing operations rose 20% year-on-year, to $75.8 million, on sales down 0.5%, to $914 million. Adjusted earnings totaled $1.23/share, beating analysts’ consensus of $1.02/share, as reported by Thomson Reuters (New York).
