Praxair Income Rises 16%; Raises Full-Year EPS Guidance

Praxair reported net income of $425 million in the second-quarter, up 15% from the same period last year, on sales of $2.86 billion, up 13%. Earnings totaled $1.38/share, up 16% from last year, slightly beating analysts' estimates of $1.37/share, according to Thomson One.
