Chemtura Expected to Exit Bankruptcy This Week

Chemtura, whose reorganization plan was approved by U.S. Bankruptcy Court in New York late last month, expects to exit bankruptcy this week, according to an SEC filing. In a filing detailing certain claims under the bankruptcy settlement, Chemtura said it could emerge as soon as today. However, a motion filed by Chemtura creditor Pentair, though denied by the bankruptcy court, has likely delayed the process, says Jefferies & Company analyst Stephen Grahling.
