Cabot Earnings Rise on Japan Recovery

Cabot Corp. reported fiscal third-quarter net income of $62 milloin, up 32% from the same period last year, on sales of $883 million, up 17%. Adjusted EPS was $1.04/share, after accounting for a 9 cts/share restructuring charge, beating analysts' estimates of 88 cts/share, according to Thomson One.   Earnings rose in all business segments, except specialty fluids.
