A shipment of chemicals from the U.S. has been temporarily held in a port in the European Union (EU) as EU officials demanded evidence of pre-registration and compliance according to the EU’s Registration, Evaluation, and Authorisation of Chemicals (Reach) program, says regulatory services firm BMT Cordah (London).   BMT Cordah is the chemical shipper’s only representative for Reach in the EU.
