Report: Gina McCarthy a favorite to replace Jackson as EPA chief

Gina McCarthy, USEPA’s assistant administrator for the Office of Air and Radiation, is a leading candidate to take EPA administrator Lisa Jackson’s place as EPA chief, Reuters reports. Jackson late last month announced she would not serve for President Obama’s second-term.  Industry representatives in the past have praised McCarthy for having a good grasp of issues that concern the chemical industry, and say that she has been open and frank regarding key issues affecting industry.
